I've been resisting Isabel Marant's sneakers for a long time now, even though I see them everywhere, specially in Paris, where they were invented. What makes them so special as to have changed the sneaker market completely?
A hidden heel, a 5-cm-wedge, that makes us look taller, but keeping the easy, comfortable look of a casual footware.
It can't be said that they are pretty. On the contrary, they are bulky and apparently heavy. But they certainly have become a hit.
Celebrities, young girls, women in general, everybody likes them...
I'm still not convinced, but I've started to watch them with interest...
