Les Aventures de la Vérité...

Once again, back with my readers...
Here I give you some photos, taken a few hours ago, at the Fondation Maeght, in St.Paul de Vence, at the opening of the exhibition "Les Aventures de la Vérité," by Bernard-Henry Levy...
So many incredible masterpieces that I'm dying to tell you about...
But it will be tomorrow... It's so late right now!
(I'm wearing a Pucci dress, for those fashionistas who always want to know).

My YES and NO...

Dear readers,
This is a short list of tips I wrote for the Fall issue of Mustique Magazine...
Let's say...
- YES to matching underwear with the colour of your outfit
- YES to watching American and English TV series, like Downton Abbey or Mad Men. Always on DVD or bought from iTunes... never illegally downloaded from internet!
- YES to yoga and Pilates, to improve our flexibility and keep our mind and body young.
- YES to eating quinoa: in salads and with a variety of vegetables. It won't make you fat and it's a great source of energy.
- YES to taking showers.
- YES to face serums with high concentration of Vitamin C, as those by SkinCeuticals.
- YES to the new Parrot ZIK headphones, designed by Philippe Starck. They are simply marvellous.
- YES to Berlutti shoes for men.
- YES to new European designers, like Alexander Vauthier or Anthony Vaccariello.
- YES to reading Casanova's memoirs, the uncensored version.
- YES to wearing fuchsia, even in Winter.
And let's say...
- NO to using your mobile phone at a restaurant, a dinner or at home, when at the table. No texting, no chatting, no checking mail/Facebook/Twitter. Never.
- NO to speaking to someone without making eye contact.
- NO to watching gossip TV shows.
- NO to wearing collants or panties with night or cocktail dresses... Let's suffer a bit!!
- NO to taking long baths. Too much water is wasted.
- NO to smoking. No way. Never.
- NO to short socks for men... In Italy, we call those who wear them "mezza calzetta."
- NO to talking about your body or money on a social meeting. And never pretend to be a know-all.
- NO to saying you liked a movie because it was praised by the critics or is nominated to the Oscars. If you did not like "Lincoln" or "The Miserables," say it with no fear.
- NO to total look... Mix some classic pieces with something from H&M or Topshop... More fun!
- NO to messy wardrobes. Nothing better than keeping our things tidy. They last longer and it's easy to decide what to wear in the morning.
- NO to taking my tips too seriously!!

Running errands in Beverly Hills...

I love it when Americans say "running errands" to being from one place to the other, doing things...
Here I am, walking, on a very sunny Beverly Hills...

Kinky Boots...

On my last visit to New York, in April, I bumped into my good friend Gervasio, who was also in town. While we had lunch, he told me about this musical he had loved really much and that was new to Broadway.
As I knew I would be returning in May, I left all settled and bought my tickets to see "Kinky Boots." There was a time when I used to go a lot to Broadway... But, then, I kind of stopped for a while.
So, with much joy, this week I returned to Times Square and felt the usual magic.
"Kinky Boots" is the success of the season, it has 13 nominations to the Tony Awards (the Oscars of the theatre) and it's always sold-out!
And to tell you the truth, it's worth it! I felt bewitched:  by the story, the music, the leading actors (Billy Potter and Stark Sands, both nominated), the costumes and, above all, that professionalism, so American, that makes everything turn out just PERFECT. They all sing, dance and act amazingly.
I somehow felt sad for having been away from Broadway for so long... I realized I've missed the pleasure of enjoying a good musical... This is why I've decided to return sooner to the Broadway theatres.
"Kinky Boots," was originally a 2005 British movie and writer Harvey Fierstein and singer Cindy Lauper adapted it to transform it into a musical...
I truly recommend it...
