Since 1931, the Asociación de Amigos del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes colaborates to preserve and increase the collections of the Museum and make known Argentine art worldwide.
For many years now, on the first Monday of September, the Asociación organizes its famous gala to raise funds. This time, it was not held at the Museum itself as usual, but at the Hotel Plaza.
The dress code was Art Decó and everyone worked hard to show up in original and fun looks. I made a personal interpretation of Art Decó, and decided to wear a dress by Reem Acra, an American designer. Marité de Jesús (María Teresa Alvarez de Jesús), my friend and photographer, was my personal stylist, creating the feather fascinator and the hairdo. I must say we had lots of fun in the process.
When we saw the incredible decorations of the salons of the Plaza, by Eduardo Acevedo and Gloria Cesar, we realized it was worth while working so hard on the preparations.
We felt like al a party from The Great Gatsby!
Almost all guests had a personal look and they even organized a contest to chose the best dressed of the night.
They were all stuning! And the men too: with tuxedos and top hats.
I shared a table with all beautiful women. We had a great time!
