"Le Prenom"

Le Prenom, in French, means "the name." Thus, the title of the play by authors Matthieu Delaporte and Alexander de la Patellière, which premiered last night at the Multiteatro in Buenos Aires.
I must say that I felt extremely proud to see that the Argentine production had nothing to envy its French counterpart, not only in the casting choices but in Arturo Puig's direction (although this was his directorial debut, he made an excellent job!).
The production, by RGB, was also sensational.
Allow me to tell you something: two years ago I was invited to Paris' première of "Le Prenom," with the performance of Patrick Bruel, a friend of mine, and I loved it. I laughed out loud, and back home, I told my sister, who also went to see it. One thing led to the other and... voilá: "Le Prenom" is in Bs. As.
Last night, at the première, apart from the press, there were many guests, including famous actors, and my favourite: Ricardo Darin.
It's so nice to mingle with the "theatre crowd." With great joy, I took my seat and I wasn't let down... As all the audience, I laughed from begining to end!! Outstanding cast: Carlos Belloso, incredible; Germán Palacios, so handsome and excellent; Mercedes Funes, too. My favourite: Jorgelina Aruzzi... simply amazing.
I could tell you the plot... but I won't. so you'll go and see it. You'll thank me for it...

Tramando...

Barely landed in Buenos Aires, I went to see Tramando by Martín Churba's runway show.
It was presented at Restaurant Elena, at the newly renovated Four Seasons Hotel. As I've never been there, I was truly impressed by its elegance and good taste. I did not try the food, but I've been told it's excellent and that it's now "the place" in town.
It was a great opportunity to greet many friends and catch up with the latests news and gossips from Buenos Aires. I found Tramando's collection interesting, different, daring and innovative... I was shocked by the high of the heels (and I'm never in flats!!). Impressive...
I loved the chance to enjoy the Argentine talent, after so much Paris...

Dîner à la maison...

In my Parisian life, I never stop receiving invitations to dinners and cocktails. So, from time to time, I like receiving my friends at home...
Here some pictures from tonight's dinner, just before returning to Buenos Aires and Punta del Este. Many friends, brilliant conversation, good food and so much fun...
So long Paris...
PD: I'm wearing my new Lanvin necklace, a birthday gift. It's creator, Elie Top, is the young man with moustaches...

Parisian Lunch for my birthday...

My dear friend Myriam offered me, a day after, an incredible lunch to celebrate my birthday...
An enchanting decoration, all in pink (my favourite colour), many presents, lots of fantasy...
And my favourite menu, thanks to Frank, her chef: quinoa salad, zucchinis and chocolate sorbet, among other desserts...
I've never had such a beautiful party, not even when I was a little girl...
Thank you so much, ma cherie...
PS: Before you ask, my dress is Prada's.

Pope Francis I...

I want to thank all my readers for your kind messages of love for my birthday...
It's been a good day, but it will be unforgettable because of the happiness of having an Argentine Pope of Piamontese origin.
I was so moved by his humble speech, in his Italian with Argentine accent, so full of hope...
I wish him the very best...

March 13th... More snow...

Louis Vuitton F/W 2013-2014

Last runway show, at least for me, and last early start...
Today, by 9 am I was already dressed and with my makeup on, ready to see what Marc Jacobs had prepared for Vuitton... Much expectation and a huge group behind, the LVMH, with the complete family seated at the Front Row (including a very beautiful and fresh Natalia Vodianova). Among the "guest stars," Naomi Watts, charming though much smaller and thin than in the movies, dressed with a white sequined dress from the maison. Fan Bingbing looked great in a SS 2013 dress "à damier." And the famous American architect Peter Marino, all wrapped up in leather...
At 10 am, with everybody seated, the show begun... The models, all carrying the same black short wig, started coming out of each of the 50 doors surrounding the stands where we were all seated. They all had a very 20s look: petticoat dresses, lovely long coats, sparkled with sequins and details of lace and feathers.
Finally, long embroidered dresses, with opaque sequins or flowers.
The last model in the line-up was Kate Moss, mature and intriguing.
To greet his audience in the "negligé mood", Marc Jacobs walked the runway in a pijama...
Without a doubt, my favorite show of this season... Because of the collection and the atmosphere.
P.S.: I wore a Jean Paul Gaultier - Haute Couture 2007 coat.

Chanel F/W 2012-2013...

And another Chanel show went by...
2,500 guests, the Grand Palais as location.
By the entrance, another thousand fans, all armed with their cameras, shooting photos like maniacs... I shoot you, you shoot me. Arrived from the four corners of the world. Babel...
The collection was good, many looks I would probably wear. Definitely "les cuissards" (long leather boots) are back. I've seen them in many shows. I don't like the white version, though.
Shot skirts, envasé-cut jackets. And black, lots of black, which can be by now considered a global trend.
Over all, very young and juvenile. I liked it.
Tomorrow, Louis Vuitton, another early start, and Fashion Week will be over.
Till September.
PS. I wore an Oscar de la Renta coat.

Saint Laurent F/W 2012-2013...

It must be said that, no matter how much you may love fashion, after a whole Fashion Week, even a fashionista like myself can get tired.
And I have only been to 3% of the shows!
But it is the city which transforms into a huge show: hundreds of men and women that have something to do with the Fashion world, such as buyers, journalists, bloggers, models, makeup artists, invade the restaurants, the shops, the streets. And the events: cocktails, showroom meetings, store openings, magazine parties, etc.
The traffic gets chaotic and there's no place at any restaurant in town... However, it's always fun to see the most unusual looks (specially those of the Asians!) and it's no surprise to bump into a girl in golden sequins at 10 am. This circus will be over by Wednesday 6th and, till September (although in July we have three days for the Haute Couture shows), we'll be relaxed and I'll be able to go to the gym every morning.
This afternoon, after stopping by at the cocktail at Roger Vivier's store, I went to the much-awaited Saint Laurent's show.
Everyone was there, including special guests Kirsten Dunst and Jessica Chastain (she was the muse for the label's latest perfume). However, what really caught my attention was Kirsten's boyfriend, an American actor called Garrett Hedlund. Stunning is not enough... I have already seen him in the movie  "On the Road" but today I confirmed that in person he is far better... A future Brad Pitt.
Ok, then, back to Hedi Slimane's collection for Saint Laurent... What can I say?
It all looked to me like H&M's collection, but with a touch of grunge. I liked it, because I like miniskirts and the little dresses with white collars, because I love leather jackets and because behind my "lady with a Lanvin dress look" hides a "bad girl"... But of the true YSL I've seen nothing. Nothing at all. Not even a memory.
I leave it to you to judge as soon as Carla posts the photos... Mine are awful (see this one below as an example).
Is it because I've spent too much time staring at Garrett...?
I'll go to bed now, tomorrow I'll have an early start for Chanel's show...
PS: I was wearing an Alexander Vauthier dress.
And here... A photo of Garrett with Kirsten, on the Front Row...

Diez Pasarelas...

Look what a cool "collage" made by the people of "Diez Pasarelas." True fashion lovers...
